Rhiannon Floyd

Rhiannon is a 20-something year old geek who lives in Perth, Western Australia.

She is a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to technology and the web. She started out pursuing a career as an audio engineer at the tender age of 16, and gained a Certificate III in Audio Engineering at SAE Perth. Eventually, the world wide web sucked her in, and she completed a Diploma in Web Development after spending a little while at TAFE.

These days, she works as a freelance web designer and web writer, with main interests in front-end web development and content and technical writing for the web.

In her spare time, she’s also a creative writer, musician, closet audiophile, casual gamer, and an amateur photographer. Just usually not all at once.

Michael Purse

Michael has worked in the IT industry for around 7 years, starting out on Technical Support and gradually working his way up to being a System and Database Administraor. He’s worked for IBM Australia, and Telstra Corporation amongst others.

He’s also a regular contributor on Wikipedia, and has been involved in the planning phase for multiple start-ups, giving him a grounding in Marketing, Public Relations, as well as general Editing and Writing skills. Primarily, Michael will be blogging about the Australian IT industry’s economic situation, political events relating to Australian IT, and how the consumer internet marketplace is changing.

Michael’s agreed to join the Tech Wired Australia blogging team, and you’ll hear a lot more from him soon. I asked Michael to provide a picture of himself for his introduction, but he insists he’ll be more than happy to oblige with a photo if you’re in your 20’s and female.

Scott Mumford

Scott is looking forward to starting his fourth year of a three year Creative Writing Degree at QUT.

He’s officially homeless and old enough to know better than to do most of the things he does.

He’s worked in both the public and private sectors in various capacities and currently makes ends meet by assembling DVD packages and not paying his ever-growing collection of fines.

He’ll be writing about interesting start-ups, lifehacking and when he has cash enough to get his hands on a new toy, the odd product review.
