Do you live in Adelaide or love technology enough to fly there? Adelaide is about to kick off it’s first BarCamp ever.

Main organiser Monique Kleine has been the one whipping everyone into shape for the last couple of months leading up to the event for what is expected to attract a community of tech savvy geeks.

The only difference about this Barcamp though is that you have to pay a small nominal fee to get in, $15 to be exact, a different approach to previous Australian BarCamps.

Being the first BarCamp for Adelaide, It is understandable that possible sponsors may not understand the concept of a BarCamp.

You’ll want to be quick about purchasing tickets though because apparently only 45 participants are allowed in:

“Places are strictly limited to 45 participants, first come first served.”

This could be one of the most professionally organised BarCamp’s yet!

Xentech’s Geoffrey Kwitko will be kindly sponsoring the event.

“BarCamp Adelaide will cover topics such as programming, social media, environmental issues, internet marketing, gaming, web business strategy and more! BarCamp is delivered through casual, interactive presentations and workshops by the participants. Everyone is welcome regardless of experience, qualifications or reputation.”
