Australia’s largest forum discussing Broadband, Whirlpool, has just recently released its annual user base survey results.

The survey, of which has been running since 2003, attempts to paint a clear picture of what well informed Australian Internet users think of the Broadband scene in Australia.

The first survey conducted in 2003 received a response of 10,335 whilst the latest bought in an amazing 19,763.

Some may say that the survey could be easily rigged, though Whirlpool writers have declared that…

“…As this was an open survey, we have been extremely rigourous about maintaining data integrity. Therefore we have only considered submissions that had been validated, and have also carefully eliminated any instances of ballot stuffing which might have occurred.

Every year an interesting question or two is placed within the online survey to try and get some insight on a certain topic of interest, with the past year’s hot topic being Internet filtering and the National Broadband Network.

When asked…

Agree or disagree:
Australia should skip past interim technologies like Fibre To The Node (FTTN) and roll out Fibre To The Home (FTTH) for the National Broadband Network.

The results were as follows:

When asked about Internet Filtering…
