Senator Stephen Conroy Sleeps Through Debate

SENATOR STEPHEN CONROY, Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy has been caught taking a nap in Parliament.

According to news.com.au, It was during a speech by Liberal backbencher Alan Eggleston.

“Sorry to disturb your slumber,” Liberal Ian Macdonald told Senator Conroy.

The subject on hand? Senator Conroy’s own Bill relating to the planned digital TV switchover.

    It is a disgrace that this man be allowed to have so much influence over our lives when he cannot even stay awake at work, let alone answer important, relevant and pertinant questions regarding the implementation of mandatory internet censorship. Labor has done itself a massive disservice putting Stephen Conroy in the position he is in.
