He said/She said.com – SideTaker Lets You Take a Side

Sidetaker.com lets feuding couples upload their spats to on-line community comment. The idea is that other users comment on who they think is in the right and thus help solve the argument.
The site allows both members of the couple to post their side of the story in appropriately titled panes under a title chosen by the person creating the topic. Both members get a user-name and, I’m assuming, can log in independently, to post or edit their side or to see how the votes are falling. Topics are left open for two months or until BOTH sides change the status of the debate to ‘resolved’.
Visitors can browse topics at random or by specific tags. There’s icons to show whether it was ‘He’ or ‘She’ that started the thread and, along with casting a vote, registered users can also add comments or helpful suggestions if they choose.
At the moment the site seems to have topics running the full gamut from the painfully serious ‘She Destroyed Me After 3 Years Together’ to the painfully vacuous ‘Pop Vs Soda’.
I don’t imagine this service is going to lessen the burden on the world’s divorce courts any time soon, but it does provide an excellent voyeuristic insight into just how dysfunctional some peoples’ relationships can be. I think it might service the community better as an example of what NOT to do in a relationship, however.
Go, my pretties, browse the spats and chuckle at someone else’s emotional pain. You know you want to…
