BTUB Halloween: Discussions Galore
ANOTHER BTUB geek meet complete with another one in sight, Halloween BTUB was interesting to say the least.
@Alegrya was up from Sydney, so us Brisbane folk took the chance to celebrate with a Brisbane Twitter Underground Brigade.
The night consisted mostly of defaming Senator Stephen Conroy about his proposed Internet censorship filter, to chatting about general Internet stuff.
I think the best description of the night I could find was described perfectly by @a_lil_spaz.
“BTUB meets have proved to be fantastic uses of my time also. Haven’t had this much fun in ages, honestly. I think the highlight was walking across Toowong to St Lucia barefoot at 7:00am on a Saturday morning dressed in black pants, checked vest, white collared shirt and a top hat while cyclists and runners whiz past me over the hills. It was Halloween the previous night, okay? Well, I still looked damn classy whatever the occasion.”

Yes that’s right, us geeks know how to party too.
A couple of us ended staying up until early hours of the morning.
I even whipped out my laptop at one point (3am) to watch The Office:
A reminder that these types of meets happen all around the nation, and if you’re not going to them, or organising one, you’re missing out.
