IN Google’s latest attempt to know everything, their Australian blog is asking users to put together their own maps with My Maps, giving them an incentive to win a 13″ 2.1 GHz Macbook.

The service has been available for users to use for a while now, though it seems like Google Australia could possibly be struggling for users to add and tag content in Australia.

So as of yesterday, Google Australia announced the “My Maps Australia Awards 2008“.

Now with an incentive to do more tagging, I am sure a heap of Google’s users will want to add content.

The competition closes November 28, and looks like a very simple task for anyone to complete.
