Apple Launches The 2008 Insomnia Film Festival

2

APPLE today announced it’s annual film festival which will commence on the 15th of November.

The Insomnia Film Festival is a 24 hour event where certain elements are given such as location, props, character names and style.

It gives students the chance to create a 3 minute film and upload it before the end of the 24 hour limit.

Once a film is uploaded, the judging begins.

The film with the highest rating from the film critics (including Jody Hill and Jason Bateman) and the most views win the major prize:

• 5 MacBook Pro notebook computers
• 5 Final Cut Studio 2 box sets
• 5 copies of Shake
• 5 Logic Studio box sets
• 5 One to One personal training cards

The great thing is that anyone from around the world can register!

So if you like making shorts films, I suggest you sign up now.

Heyy, I was wondering if this competition is open in Sydney or is it only for the US???

Hey Mir, traditionally the Film Festival has been limited to US high schools and colleges, but details have not been released, so those rules could be different this time around, we don’t know, and especially as the film festival has been postponed because of server issues, we won’t know for certain until next year.
