Grab a FREE iTunes account for ANY country.
So, you’ve got a shiny new iPhone or iPod touch, and you’d like to load all those shiny apps that everyone keeps talking about. But, oh noes! You don’t have a credit card, or the App you want isn’t available in your country’s store. Or, you’re sick of this week’s Free Single Of the Week. This guide will let you create a free account for any country the iTunes store runs in. Interested? Good, let’s continue! :)
1. First of all – select the iTunes store in which you’d like to have an account. You can use the store selector towards the bottom of the iTunes store homepage.
2. When the front page loads up for your desired country – go and click on the top app from the “Top Free App” section.
3. When the app page loads, hit the ‘Get App’ button.
4. The login prompt will appear – click on ‘Create New Account’
5. Click Continue, then tick the “I Accept” box, and click Continue again
6. Fill out your details on the next page (you’ll need a real, valid email address), and click continue
7. And now, here is where it gets interesting. If you have followed each of the previous steps, you should now have a ‘None’ option as a payment method. Select that 
8. After that, fill out your details. If you don’t live in the country you’re creating the account in, make up an address. (Like say, for example, one of Apple’s Retail Store locations if they have some in that country. – http://apple.com/retail ), then click Continue
9. You will now see a message telling you to click on the confirmation link sent to the email you supplied earlier; it looks a little like this;
Then check your email inbox (or spam folder), open the email and click the confirmation link
10. iTunes will pop up, and here you’ll enter your brand new iTunes account details.
11. If all goes to plan, you will be greeted with a congratulations page.
12. You’re done! You can now download free music (namely the ‘Free Single Of The Week’), as well as some free TV shows in some stores, and all the free apps that are available to you in the App Store
Now, I have iTunes accounts for Australia, the United Kingdom, the USA, and now Canada!
Wait… why couldn’t I just create an account without going to the app store first?
If you try and create an account straight from the log on box/when you purchase some music, you will be missing the ‘None’ option from Step 7.
Can I fill out my credit card details for another country’s store?
Not unless it was issued in the country that you’re trying to add it to – iTunes will verify the location of where the card was issued. So, for example, you couldn’t use an Australian Visa card in the United States store.

Hey Michael - no you can’t use the same email address, or iTunes will get confused (think when you try to log into one store, it’ll redirect you to the other… put it this way - you wont be able to login :P)

Ask your bank to set the billing address of your credit card in the country you want to use for the iTunes Store, and voila!

I hade first generation iphone whith fw 2.1 and itunes 8.
I do all the steps and creat an account ,but when I try to download a free app from appstor with pc or with my iphone appstore it says :
Your request cannot be processed. Error code :1009
I search the web to find out how to solve this problem but I can’t find anything, what should I do
@sam - A quick Google search pointed me to the website http://iphone.cazisoft.com/2008/08/1.html - which people say have worked for them. I haven’t ever got that error before though, so I can’t vouch for success.

i think apple has closed this loop hole. I tried various methods:
1. method explained in this mail
2. method of redeeming coupons
3. creating apple in info.apple.com and then creating itunes account.
None of them worked. The ‘None’ option is not available no matter what. I even tried with different countries’ store. But no use. This is as on 1st October 2008. Is anyone facing similar issues?

I created the free account no worrys. I live in australia and I could download an app fine but a week latter I tried to download a app and it said that I only aloud to use the account in USA

Hey pat - your iPhone will have the same iTunes account that you were logged into when you sync your iPhone with iTunes.
You can run as many apps as you like from lots of different accounts, as long as your computer is authorised for that iTunes account.

Hey man, got a problem here; downloaded itunes, installed it, but every time I try to create a new account (either by clicking the “get app” or even by Store–>Create account), I get the following message :
“We could not complete your itunes store request. An unknown error has occurred (-50). There was an error in the Itunes store. Please try again later.”
Any input would be hugely appreciated, I’ve been wanting an itunes account for ages now and it’s a shame to miss this promotion too.

To the hopeless dude with the 11111 error:
I’ve had the same problem. You are probably viewing the message in plain text format. It looks like the link gets messed up in some weird way and when you click it spits out 11111 error in Apple store. When I switched the confirmation email message to HTML mode and clicked the link it instantly came through. Good luck!

It seems the new terms and conditions of 12 November 2008 closed a few loopholes. I had a US store account using a gift card and after accepting new terms and conditions my credit ($36) was unavailable.

Apple are probably checking your IP to see if you are really from the country you specify. What I dont understand is why apple sells ipod touch in none itunes countries, the 2nd gen ipod has no jail break yet and I can’t get the free apps here so I am screwed for now.

None option is there but when I hit the button Continue it says I did not enter my credit card number? Strange isn’t it?

IT WILL NOT WORK FOR ANYONE ANYMORE. Apple has shutdown all the loopholes known so far.
They are also refusing to answer support requests and are ‘playing dumb’.
